The day we checked, the kid at the front desk has the best customer service i have seen in years. I wish I knew his name but he was going to college and then miltary.

Relaxed hotel with modern rooms & free WiFi, plus free breakfast & an outdoor pool.
The Comfort Inn Flagstaff South I-17 is a solid pick for anyone routing through Flagstaff on the way to the Grand Canyon's South Rim, about 80 miles north. It's a standard Comfort Inn on paper, but guests consistently note the property doesn't feel like it — the lobby and breakfast room lean into a log-cabin, ski-lodge look with a fireplace and pine-forest views, and the hotel sits up on a hill overlooking Flagstaff's Woodland Village neighborhood.
With a 4.5 rating from over 1,300 reviews, this is one of the better-reviewed chain hotels in town. Recurring themes: a genuinely full free breakfast (eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, a coffee bar), an outdoor pool and hot tub, quiet rooms, and attentive front-desk staff. The location near the south end of I-17 also puts it within reach of Lowell Observatory.
It won't be mistaken for a boutique property, but for a reliable, well-kept base in Flagstaff before heading north to the canyon, it consistently outperforms expectations for the price point.

Clean and comfortable. Definitely good for the price point. Location is convenient. Breakfast is basic, not better than any other affordable hotel. Could use some additional fruit. Reception friendly except one woman who seemed to really dislike working the breakfast shift 😂 Pet fee $50 for entire stay for all pets

It's a really decent hotel I can usually get a decent room on my work trips here for cheap
