Dreamland Safari Tours runs guided trips out of Kanab into the high-desert backcountry east of town — The Wave, South Coyote Buttes, White Pocket, and the slot canyons, pictographs, and dinosaur tracks scattered through the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. This is permit country: The Wave itself is capped by lottery, and guests who don't draw a permit still come away impressed, since Dreamland's guides route around to comparable sandstone formations like South Coyote Buttes and White Pocket that don't require winning anything. Guides handle the 4x4 access, the route-finding, and the geology lessons along the way.

My granddaughters and I did a private White Pocket tour and our guide was Ben. Ben was professional, friendly and did everything possible to ensure our trip was fun and memorable. We would highly recommend the tour and guide!

we booked the tour where dreamland tours tries to get a wave permit first and if that doesn’t work out they try for a coyote buttes permit, which we were lucky to get!! we went on a whole day tour to south coyote buttes and it was absolutely amazing!! the most beautiful scenery i have ever seen!! tiffany, our tour guide was incredible!! she told us everything interesting about the area, showed us the most amazing places and was incredibly nice!! ofc the tour is not cheap but it was worth every penny!! especially the drive there is really bumpy and not easy to drive so it was perfect that someone with a lot of experience is driving and leading the group!! i would 100% recommend!!
