Scenic overlook on the Grand Canyon's North Rim accessed by a short, steep, narrow trail.
Bright Angel Point is the North Rim's signature overlook — a short, steep, narrow trail out along a rocky spine that ends with one of the widest canyon views on this side of the park. It's an easy add-on for anyone already making the drive up, and reviewers consistently rate it among the best short walks at the canyon, with a 4.9 rating from nearly 900 Google reviews.
The trail itself runs about half a mile out and back, paved for much of the way, with a narrow, exposed section near the end where the path drops off on both sides. One visitor clocked it at a 30-40 minute walk round trip; another noted the North Rim felt far less crowded than the South Rim, with elevation keeping temperatures milder even in summer. The payoff is a sweeping view into the canyon's interior that many say rivals — or beats — anything on the South Rim.
Pair it with nearby Roosevelt Point or the scenic drive in for a full North Rim day.
