Old West steakhouse charm on Route 66

(54)
Williams, AZ

About

Part of the Wild West Junction complex on Route 66 in Williams, the Branding Iron Restaurant leans hard into log-cabin, Old West atmosphere — wooden interiors, vintage photos and rustic relics packed into every corner. It's the steakhouse tucked deeper into the complex, distinct from the more casual bar-and-BBQ spot up front near the street.

What to order

Steak is the reason to come. Reviewers single out the prime rib as a standout — tender, juicy, and well worth the splurge — alongside the Texas twinkies as a favorite starter. There's also a Tombstone platter on the menu for anyone wanting a sampler. Portions and pacing feel classic roadside-steakhouse, with outdoor seating available on nicer evenings.

This place feels like you’ve stepped into an old Western movie — log cabin vibes, quirky little trinkets everywhere, and just the right amount of cowboy charm. 🤠 There are two restaurants in the complex. The one near the street is more of a bar with BBQ and bar food. But if you're on a mission for steak (like we were), head deeper into the wooden wilderness — that's where the real steakhouse hides. The steaks? Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way you'd expect in the Wild West. My family loved it. Inside, it’s a treasure trove of vintage stuff — old photos, rustic relics, and enough character to make you want to hang around after dessert.

Avoid this place! The service is a disaster, the food is bad. Despite this, a tip is automatically added to the bill!
